Allyn International Introduces E-Shipment

As an industry leader in fourth party logistics (4PL), Allyn is keenly aware of the steps shippers can take in order to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.  This year Allyn has unveiled a new feature, titled E-Shipment, as part of our ALA platform. E-Shipment makes it easy for any company to achieve upswings in productivity and savings. E-Shipment automatically tenders loads to preferred carriers, while automatically tracking the loads daily until delivery.

E-Shipment operates using an individual shipper’s contract rates, service agreements, and carrier preferences.  Preferred and restricted carriers, help make up the carrier selection logic that enables E-Shipment to identify the correct carrier based on cost, transit time, and service history.

Using E-Shipment allows a shipper to gain the competitive advantage by ensuring that only approved carriers are used, and least cost carrier is tendered the load as often as possible. Many shippers end up using certain carriers out of convenience, well E-Shipment pushes the use of least cost carriers while increasing the level of convenience for shippers and carriers alike.

E-Shipment works with most modes, including small package, LTL, FTL, as well as air and ocean shipments as long as a shipper has agreed upon rates and transit times. Using E-Shipment will allow a shipper to spend less time on the manual aspects of arranging transportation and more time on the strategic side. ALA, via E-Shipment, will provide the visibility, cost take out, and on time delivery needed to drive performance.
